For this assessment, students are to write a 1200-word blog post addressing the following topic

The blog should demonstrate how the key topics covered in Week/s 1-4 have influenced and inform
the Preferred Professional Image (PPI).
Assessment Description
For this assessment, students are required to write a 1200-word blog addressing the topic “The
professional impression I now want to create is….” The blog will draw on what an industry speaker has to
say about the development of their preferred professional image.
The industry speaker’s video can be found on the Women in Leadership (WIL) Hub available from
MyKBS. Students will need to draw upon what they have learned in this subject to date to inform and
develop their blog.
The following dot points need to be explicitly referred to in the blog.
Gender stereotypes about women’s (communal) and men’s (agentic) communication styles.
The industry speaker’s video on developing a preferred professional image.
The concept of “power”; referring to the six sources of power
How the concepts of impression management and self-monitoring and their impact on the
development of a preferred professional image.
Assessment Instructions
For this assessment, students should include a minimum of five (5) academic references.

submitted via MyKBS (Turnitin).
