While I do agree that removing some of the plastic from our society is great as it reduces waste by replacing it with something that is either biodegradable or reusable but removing all plastics all together is not going to be easy and it will drive the cost of some products up.  If we as a society were able to better reuse or recycle our waste such as plastics then this would be better for everyone to include the environment.  I know a lot of people have seen on social media outlets and the news that Wal-Mart is in the process of banning plastic bags.  This would be good but the bags they are replacing them with still contain some form of plastic in them.  Unfortunately, as things change so does the waste that you see on the ground littering our streets and waterways.  When Covid started people started to throw their used masks on the ground creating a new form of trash.
