Evidence-based Practice ProjectThe purpose of this project is to engage graduate students in learning activities to developthe skills of inquiry, knowledge acquisition as well as translation and integration of research intonursing practice. Students will apply the Iowa Model of Evidence-based Practice to PromoteQuality Care to a selected topic. Chapter 20 in LoBiondo-Wood & Haber 10th ed. will bevery helpful to you in completing this project. This project consists of four parts as follows:Part I: Selection of Topic & Question Due: November 6, 2023 – MY TOPIC IS to develop practice guidelines for Naloxone Distribution overdoseeducation program to be used in the hypothetical practice setting?• Select a topic for this project, topic should be pertinent to one’s work setting and shouldbe considered a priority for the organization• Develop a problem statement that provides background information on this topic andhighlights the significance of the problem, include pertinent statistics that demonstratesignificance• Identify all problem-focused and/or knowledge-focused triggers pertaining to the selectedtopic• Formulate a hypothetical team who will collaborate to develop this practice improvementprojecto Be specific as to the composition of this team, i.e. do not just state “RN” include the specialty and/or role of the RN (such as telemetry unit nurse manager)o Be sure to include pertinent members of the interdisciplinary health teamo How many team members?• Identify key stakeholders who can positively and negatively affect implementation of thisproject – explain their potential effects on project implementationo Do discuss how stakeholders might affect implementation of the project, i.e. howand why they might act as facilitators and/or barriers to implementationo Do not state how the project implementation will affect stakeholders• Formulate an evidence-based practice question pertaining to selected topic using PICOformat• Part I will be posted in Moodle as a voiceover PowerPoint presentation• There should be approximately 10 slides for Part I• Submitted PowerPoints must include slide notes in the “Notes section” under eachslide – YOU MUST HAVE SLIDE NOTES FOR EACH SLIDE (except the titleslide and reference slide)
