After watching one of these speeches, you will write an essay applying Aristotle’s Proofs to the content and delivery of the speech.

Your essay should have a brief introduction paragraph.

Then, your essay should have three sections: ethos, pathos, and logos. Your job is to analyze the speech for speaker credibility, use of emotion, and use of reason.

For the sections on pathos and logos, there are basically two choices to write about:

Your essay should have a brief concluding paragraph. In it, give your overall impression and evaluation of the speaker and the speech. Make sure your evaluation is connected to your analysis (in other words, don’t write “no logos, no pathos, bad ethos, but a great speech.”)
