Question Prompts
Consider the haptic dimension of the game. In what ways does the experience of the gestural economy (including the manner in which some gestures are rewarded with haptic feedback and/or in-game rewards) change the game experience?
When does the AR dimension expand the game, when does it detract? (Be sure to distinguish between the use of real images and textures in a synthetic game space versus the augmentation of what is seen.)
What is the primary user interface of Pokemon Go? How do you know?
Is Pokemon Go fun because of its broad cache of characters, or your movement through the world?
write a short report (maximum 1500 words) that addresses the four questions.

I wanted to make a normative argument about how things should be and how the
world could re-align to be there. Hubert Humphrey made predictions about how the
world should be in the future because you could tell by what he predicted and what
he valued. He predicted things that one could argue as improving the overall health
and quality of life.
If I had to make a prediction like Hubert Humphrey I could say something along the
lines of my positive values and improving quality of life, but I don’t think the future is
looking that bright. I do predict that Amazon is somehow going to take over
everything and that every need will be met by Amazon. I predict that Amazon will
have self-driving cars that on the inside are like rotating belt-like vending machines
with a mechanical arm that grabs the next package. People will have Amazon-specific
mailboxes where the Amazon Car will deliver the package into. So many packages and
much more items can be delivered. The Amazon mailboxes can also be like a mini
fridge that can keep your food cold, so Amazon can deliver your food too. Something
like that. I mean have you seen the Amazon “Clinic” online? It’s pretty interesting.

a universal basic income
•
New sales of consumer vehicles that use fossil fuels will be outlawed nationwide by
the end of the decade.
•
I predict that streaming platforms will make cable obsolete, causing people to leave
cable companies and those companies to go bankrupt in the next 5 years.
•
After watching the videos this week, my prediction for the future is stores and fast
food restaurants with no workers. We are already along those lines of new
technology, but I am predicting that one day we will fully be run by technology at
places like grocery stores and fast food spots.
•
The game of baseball has people all over the world complaining about how long the
games are taking and that it gets boring when the games last too long. In the future,
we will be able to sit in the stands or sit on our couch at home without needing to
wait for official reviews because the robotic umpires will have such advanced
technology in them that they can use camera and replay technology to make perfect
calls. The robots won’t be in play, but just on the outskirts so that balls in play won’t
be effected by humans that may not have fast enough reflexes to move out of the
way.

Humphrey was a pharmacist and very liberal political force. His futuristic predictions
leaned toward ideas of better health, safety, and encouraging an overall sense of well
being. Following his ideas, I would predict that in the future scientist will create a
nutrient dense food that can be given to to all humans to supplement their diet in
times of struggle, not limited to Americans but all humans.
Keynes was more of a how can I make life easier, as in monetarily not necessarily
health wise. I believe, in the style of Keynes, in the future we will be able to visit other
countries and landmarks virtually but in real time. Going on vacation with out leaving
the comfort of your own home.

Students will start misusing AI to complete their assignments, and this will become a
major issue in academia.
•
One future prediction I have is the continuing advancement in virtual reality.
Currently users are able to buy their own VR headsets and conduct different activities
and games. In the future I think VR and their headsets will become extremely
personalized to each individual user.
•
Climate change will be contained.
•
By the end of the century, artificial intelligence will be as widespread and utilized in
daily activities as cell phones are today. AI will be integrated into nearly every aspect
of our daily lives, helping us make decisions and guiding our cognition. Corporations
will market AI designed for specific purposes such as financial advisor, personal
trainer, and teacher. People who do not adopt the use of AI and accept this status quo
will find it more and more difficult to compete and will adapt or be left behind.

Doctors appointments done entirely from home, over smartphone/computer using AI

Future Predictions:
* Waste Management through a process that releases 0% carbon
* Mainstream medical treatment with an holistic approach, looking at the persons
family history, mental and energetic state, inclusion of ancient energetic healing
practices like breathwork, meditation and relaxation will be mandatory
* Cars only powered by sunlight or biogas (gasoline supplies exhausted)
* Fresh drinking water will be scarce and therefore a luxury (only filtered available at
reasonable price)
* Cure for cancer
* Emission in big cities will be regulated through forests on buildings
* More people will be self sufficient, self-employed and there will be a rise of small
businesses serving the bigger population
* Big enterprises computerize most of their work like costumer service through AI and
delivery.
* There will be a automated pollination system for agriculture, due to near extinction
of bees and helpful insects involved in pollunation.

I predict that ideas like the Metaverse, and others the intend to allow users to
immerse themselves in a world similar to Tron, will fail miserably. I predict instead
that ideas that intend to immerse the user in a virtual world that focuses on the
physical world will be successful. Instead of inventing a new world, the virtual reality
that will be successful is one that allows the user to transport themselves to a
different place, time, or event that has happened in the physical world, or is possible
in the real world. If you could travel to the Grand Canyon, the Civil War, or the
Appalachian Trail from a medium that allows all five senses to experience it, I think it
would be successful.

Predictions for the future:
-I predict that dimensional pluralities will be more heavily investigated and accepted
in the future because it is preferable to the binary rules of right vs wrongisms as
society accepts that fact does not exist extratextually.
-I predict language will be studied qualitatively to unlock parallel universes and
adjacent law theories.
-I predict that humans will continue to battle over resources which will result in a
repurposing shift. (alternative ways of living beyond nuclear family white picket fence
homes such as repurposing aircraft as a home)
-I predict that entheogenic research will traverse new frontiers of semiotic integration
and reality augmentation.
-I predict that when entheogenic research is yoked with neural sciences with the
intention to create language learning programs as alternatives to pharmacology that
mental illness will be treated with language and frequency.
-I predict frequency to become the frontier of mind-control, weapons of mass
destruction, mental and physical health treatment.

My future prediction is that AI will eventually become more utilized in less specialized
jobs to do menial tasks. We already have some restaurants that serve food via robots
– maybe the next step is robots in retail positions. In regards to the probability cone, I
think this is not just possible, but also preferable, as it has the potential to
revolutionize the workforce and allow humans to pursue more emotionally fulfilling
opportunities. I can see issues arising with the decrease in available jobs, but if such a
thing were to happen, it might occur alongside a massive economic shift that would
adjust to the presence of robots in certain workplaces. I don’t think this is
something that will necessarily happen in the immediate future, and maybe it’s
more hope driven, but I like to think that the presence of robots in society would have
positive impacts on human lifestyles.

Hubert Humphrey’s predictions were based on science and the belief that science
could be used to improve the human experience. He took the scientific facts known at
the time and extrapolated their potential into the future, assuming that future
scientists would have greater understanding than they did in Humphrey’s time.
My prediction is that by 2050, we will be able to grow organs and human tissues with
such precision and accuracy, that there will no longer be a need for donated organs.
There will be no more waiting for liver or heart transplants. Biomedical engineers will
be able to use samples of your own DNA to grow a new organ perfectly designed for
your body.
Even further into the future, it may be possible for scientists to grow organs that are
resistant to cancer, thus eliminating the risk of prior illness from coming back.
•
The proliferation of AI and deepfake technology will be weaponized to the point
where fact-based news and information is unable to compete in the “marketplace
of ideas.” The rise of ideological propaganda will lead to worldwide civil wars and
the collapse of all democratic-leaning societies, to be replaced by new ideologicallydriven nation states led by cabals of trillionaire plutocrats.

Hubert Humphrey, who was Vice President of the United States and also a Pharmicist
by trade. He made a number of predictions in which several actually came true. Some
of them being things like “Psychotropic drugs”, “teaching machines”, “mechanical
translation”, “automated factory work”.
One of my personal predictions is that AI, (Artificial Inteligence) is going to become an
intracal part of our everyday socieity very similar to how “Google” is to our socieity
today.
As, it may very well become a reality that AI may be able to predict how to eliminate
bacterial and viral infection such as “Covid” for example. AI may discover genetic
modification to resolve birth anomalies, these however are just a few examples and
as to my personal prediction. Another prime example is one of the newest AI tools
called “ChatGPT”. This “AI” technology is already have a major impact as a competitor
to Google.
•
One prediction I have is that since we are in the digital age where new technologies
are being made every year. One prediction I have is that movie theaters are no longer
gonna be available since streaming movies is becoming more popular. Another
prediction I have is that paper money is not gonna exist in the future as well and its
gonna be all digital.
•
We will have the ability to cure diseases like most cancers, Alzheimer’s, and
Parkinson’s by 2035. This will result in an increase of the average human lifespan to at
least 100 years old.
•
I predict that we may go to war soon
•
I predict that we will have flying cars in the future
•
I predict that by 2050 the majority of cars on the road will be fully self-driving cars.
•
My prediction would be, with our ever growing technology that we will someday have
flying cars. And plans will cease to exist. Another prediction that was thinking of while
watching the videos is that we will have projected classrooms and teachers so;for
instance, were doing all online and virtual stuff now, but instead lectures through
video and discussion’s through typing. It will all be almost like a projector watching a
movie but moving, articulating and speaking back forth. I don’t know if that is a great
prediction but I thought of that as I watching the virtual reality video and it got me
thinking.
•
Honestly, I believe that sea rails aren’t impossible, and seem like something for the
future, especially now that many towns are developing rail systems, why not have the
ability to cross large bodies of water.
•
Medications will be available for every regardless of social status. I feel like in the
future, insurance companies wont tell you no they wont cover medications you need
to save your life. I hope that one day that if you get prescribed something that will
cure you of greatly help you, you can get it without worrying about going bankrupt for
it. Hopefully by this point, the world will be all free health care like many nations that
aren’t the United States.
•
Since society is becoming extremely engaged in media and is very trusting of it, I
believe that the future will consist of allowing technology to run our everyday life. For
example, stores like Amazon are allowing individual’s to come into the store and buy
items without interacting with a worker. I think there will be less jobs in these types of
locations simply because technology can run it. I think more jobs will be solely
technological based instead of personal interactions.
•
I predict the VR headsets will be a commonplace everyday use item to the vast
populations, much like cars or cell phones. I predict that along with this, the virtual
reality will become more prominent not for gaming, but for social
meetings/gatherings and for remote business transactions including business
meetings, shopping, or activities.
•
We will find a way to run entirely on energy generated from the ocean by the year
3000.
•
Although, Keynes was incorrect that we would be working 15 hour weeks, I don’t
believe he was far off. 15 hours weekly may be sort of a stretch, but I have noticed
that this generation has become much less interested in working. I believe that
something has to give and there has to be some sort of a compromise between work
and play. So, this might not count as a “new prediction” but I believe that we will
work 3-4 days weekly in oppose to the average 5. People are beginning to find more
value in “living their best lives” instead of working 5 days a week and not
exploring their dreams.

I certainly see the world moving into “Virtual Worlds” Facebook has piles of money
and the own everyones data, which to me, is scary stuff. Facebook is making a very
real and highly integrated virtual experience METAVERSE. I do feel social media
burnout happening in all age groups, things are getting tired, and we will embrace
change in the near future. Technology and virtual will probably be here to stay, no
matter what we choose to do. At least in the common world.

After watching the initial videos this week, one new prediction I can make that is like
those made by Hubert Humphrey would be that there will be more AI usage in
pharmacies to improve care and take over data mining.
