Select a topic in media of your choice (e.g., violence in video games; social media use by celebrities; gender portrayals in television shows). Analyze how researchers using each of the following theories would approach studying the topic.

• Social Learning Theory
• Critical Theory

In the analysis, be sure to include:

1. The types of data each theory would use to study the topic
2. The types of methods each theorist would use to collect and analyze data
3. Comparison of the strengths and limitations of each approach to study the topic
