I would say that sales taxes should not be collected on Internet purchases. This is because the basic rule of tax collection on online purchases is if your business has a physical presence with the customers. In this case, the retailer lacks the customer’s physical presence. The U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on sales tax collection has led to a positive impact since it has encouraged and led to more competition between stores. After the Supreme Court ruling, these tax regulations’ effective imposition will prove not to be comfortable. The government has not yet found an effective way to impose these laws on the Internet.
