01.)  Recently, you have noticed a change in the way your colleagues are communicating. There is a lot of gossiping, and much of what is shared is false. This is starting to affect the culture of your office, as there is a lot of negativity and hurt feelings.

After some careful thought, you decide to share your concerns with your colleagues. Utilizing the concepts from this unit, draft an email to your colleagues explaining the importance of communication and how to effectively share information both in person and via email. Include the consequences of gossip and false information in the workplace. Remember that these are your coworkers, and you want to keep a positive relationship with them, so your email should be professional in manner and outline your concerns.

02.)  Your friend is starting a new position within your place of employment and has a couple of questions. She wants to know what to expect and how your organization uses teamwork to build positive relationships. In this assignment, you will give your friend some ideas of what to expect by outlining the following aspects of your workplace:

• Explain the role of the human resource department and how they can help you.
• Define the role of a mentor.
• Describe the ways in which you can work together with a mentor to overcome challenges in the      new position.
• Provide a description of a mentor from your life and how you used teamwork to solve problems.
