What is your dream job? Besides going to school, what are you doing to attain it? Do you have a plan? If so, what is it? What are the benefits of making plans/goals? What role do you think an education plays in achieving your goals?

My dream job is to be a Psychologist; I’ve wanted this for about three years strong now. School gives me the foundation and accreditation that I need to be a Psychologist but there’s a lot of work besides that – that I’m working on. Currently I’m mastering my emotions and gaining more patience, these goals are ongoing not short time goals. To be a successful Psychologist you need to be a good listener, right now I tend to cut people off when we’re talking. The goal of Psychology for me is to be a healer and give people a wise, educated ear to listen and guide them in their therapy session. To be able to do this I would need to have emotional intelligence so I don’t act based on what I’m feeling temporarily. Making these goals for myself now rather than later gives me the time it takes to mast and complete these tasks. They say it takes 21 days to form a habit and 20 hours dedication to learn something new. I’d benefit enormously in my career by being patient and wise because that’s what a good Psychologist embodies. Education plays a good role in me achieving these goals because education is leading me into my career and my career is what encourages me to make these goals. Without wanting to be a Psychologist I’d have no direct need to focus so heavily on these goals.

My dream job is to work at Kaiser as a Register Nurse. Beside going to school, I am working as an certified nurse attendant over night to attain it. you must have experience going into healthcare. Yes, I have a plan to get my dream job. my plan is to keep working as a nurse attendant to get enough experience Kaiser position require to work at a nurse attendant at there facility. I would keep applying for every nurse attended position for multiple locations until I get a response. Once they are interested in your interested in your application they will send you a candidate snapshot. The candidate snap shot is a serious of questions basic on the job. After you completed the snapshot and email it back. if they like your answers on the snapshot , a recruiter will reach out to you for a over the phone interview after the over phone interview its the in person interview. Basically I did my research on the process and actually went threw the whole process. Every position will be on call but look as it as a foot in the door. So once I get offer a part time position, I will work part time until I’m done with school and wove up to a register nurse position easily. I got hire at Kaiser but unfortunately they took the offer back because I couldn’t verified one employment but she said just go work somewhere for five months and reach out to her and she will have me meet with another manager no application or nothing. The benefits of making plans is you will be organized and know what the actual steps you will have to do instead of trying to figure it out once the problem is presented. The role education plays in achieving my goal is I will be properly train and have all the knowledge I will need to be successful at my job.
