Execution Summary and Presentation
Part 1 Presentation: you will produce a power point presentation describing the specific tactical
execution of your communication plan, as if you are presenting your plan to your
client/company. You will use the materials and content you submitted from the first three
assignments to create the presentation. The presentation should last 3 to 5 minutes maximum.
The presentation must address the following objectives:
1. Based on your original plan, describe the goals and objectives for the communication
campaign, they key messages, and the target audiences.
2. Describe the specific communication tactics you are recommending for your campaign.
3. Demonstrate the elements of the campaign and justify your choices both for the channels
or methods, and for the written, audio and visual content of each.
4. Describe how you plan to monitor the campaign during its execution, including
monitoring feedback and any reputation management.
5. Describe the metrics you will use to gauge whether your plan has successfully achieved
the goals and objectives in terms that traditional business/management can understand.
6. Provide justification for your choices. Based these choices on your research, NOT your
personal opinion.
7. Demonstrate your research with attribution to your sources.
8. Use professional standards for presentations. Do NOT cram your slides with text bullet
points. Showing is better than telling. With any written content.
9. Do not waste your audience’s time. Imagine them as the busy executives or leaders of
your client/company. Be direct, decisive and authoritative. Strive for quality, not
quantity.
Your final Presentation must contain the following:
1. Cover slide
2. Introduction slide
3. Campaign Introduction
4. Campaign goals and objectives
5. Key Messages (using assignment 1 content)
6. Describe Communication Tactics (using assignments 1, 2, and 3 content)
7. Describe the implementation, including a campaign timeline and budget (from your
original plan)
8. Include your methods for evaluation of the campaign: how will you specifically measure
whether the campaign is successful?
9. End your presentation with a conclusion and any additional recommendations to your
client/company.
10. Format your presentation professionally with clarity in mind.
11. Add any citations or references in a page at the END of your
presentation.
Part 2 Executive Summary:
Along with your Final Presentation, please create and submit a two-page Executive Summary
describing your communications tactics. This should be similar to your Executive Summary in
assignment 1, but with more specifics about the campaign tactics you produced in assignments
2 and 3. This is meant to be an outline or memo provided to your client/company as a
supplement to your presentation. It will not need to contain the sort of details you will describe in
your presentation.
