GEB 6215: Peer Review for Informative Presentations(Online Presentation)
NOTE: You will use this peer review in class to take notes on one presenter
and complete the questions below; submit as a Word .docx (not .pdf or
another format) in Canvas by the deadline.
You will evaluate one of your classmate’s presentations, and then provide
feedback. Take notes on what you observe during the presentation, and
then complete the questions below. As you observe the presentation, you
should take notes on what stands out to you, either what they do very well
or what they need to improve, or anything else that seems apparent or
helpful. Use the required number of sentences to respond to questions
below.
Submit this form, with your answers typed in. Do not delete any questions;
just add in your responses.
NOTE: The questions below are “yes/no/borderline” questions (yes is A/B
level; borderline is C level, and no is D/F level). Also, provide written
comments of 1-2 sentences to help the presenter identify their strengths as
a presenter and also the areas they need to improve.
Physical Delivery (not including vocal qualities): Write

1. Eye Contact: Does the presenter make consistent eye contact with
the camera? Does the presenter seem to be reading from notes?

distracting mannerisms (fidgeting, swiveling in their chair, etc.)?
3. Gestures: Are hand gestures visible and used effectively?
4. Confidence: Does the presenter exude confidence throughout their
presentation?

and easily, or does the speech sound more recited from memory or
read from notes?
1
2. Variety: Does the presenter’s voice have any monotone qualities, or
does the voice vary in emphasis, volume, rate, pitch, etc.?
3. Fluency: Does the presenter use words correctly and smoothly, or do
they sometimes struggle with word choice? Are words enunciated and
pronounced correctly?
4. Pauses/halting: Are pauses used strategically for emphasis, or are
they nervous or unintentional or too long?
5. Filler non-words/words: Does the presenter use any “ums” or
“uhs” or needlessly repeat ANY words (common examples: you know,
right, basically)?
6. Enthusiasm and Energy (vocal): Does the presenter’s voice convey
enthusiasm, energy, and/or interest?
Structure and Content: Write Yes/No/Borderline plus 1-2 sentences
of explanation for each one.

sections:
• Introduction
o Professional greeting/position and responsibilities

o Purpose and preview of main topics
• Body
o Problem section including symptoms, effects and causes
o Possible solutions
• Conclusion
o Summary and time frame
o Memorable statement
2. Does the attention step grab your attention?
3. Does the presenter provide a clear summary?
4. Does the presenter end with a memorable statement and not a “that’s
all folks” type of ending?
5. Do you notice any issues related to the content in the Body?
6. Did the presenter have an audience connection part and if so, what
was it?
7. Question and Answer Section: Does the presenter ask for
questions or feedback, and then respond appropriately, while
maintaining all previous delivery standards?
Overall: Write 2-3 sentences of explanation for each one.
1. Describe two speaking skills or content areas in the presentation that
could use improvement and your strategies for how to improve. If you
don’t observe any areas for improvement, choose two skills/content
2
areas that the speaker could “take to the next level” and your
strategies for doing so.
2. Describe two speaking skills or content areas in the presentation that
were strengths and reasons for your choice.
