Part 1 – Reference Page

Conduct research on your topic to find 8sources – 1 scholarly source (a peer-reviewed or academic journal article), 1 news source (an article from a newspaper or news broadcast), 1 opinion piece (an opinion editorial or letter to the editor), and 1 organizational website (a nonprofit organization, .org, .gov) and 4 other credible sources of your preference. Be strategic about your research – find sources that will be used in the Opinion Editorial Analysis & Opinion Editorial Argument and not the first sources that are found.

Create a reference page using APA format that lists the 8 sources. Your reference page should also include labels to indicate what type each source is (e.g., scholarly, opinion piece, news).

Part 2 – Bracket

Round 1: List the titles of the 8 sources in the first round of the

bracket

Seed the sources based on what you think is the most useful source to you (#1) to the source you think helps you least (#8). Evaluate the head-to-head matchups of sources 1-8 using the

Round 2: Evaluate the head-to-head matchups of the four remaining sources in the second round using the SIFT Method Guide with the two winning sources moving on to the championship round.
