Your task is to investigate a health communication topic of your choice and integrate information from external sources, including scholarly articles and newspaper articles, to extend your understanding beyond what we’ve learned in class.
Assignment Task:
Select a Health Communication Topic: Choose a health communication topic that has been discussed in this semester’s course. Your topic should address a specific aspect, issue, or challenge related to health communication. If you’re unsure what topic you want to write about, I provided four suggestions below:

Final Paper Proposal
Of the five choices, the topic chosen is how healthcare providers can better treat
patients in a culturally relevant way. What role does health communication play in making
such improvements?
I plan to discuss the diverse ways healthcare providers can enhance their cultural
competence and, therefore, ensure holistic treatment of patients in a culturally relevant way.
Besides, I also plan to include the impact of comprehensive communication in ensuring
cultural competence in healthcare provision (Minnican & O’Toole, 2020). Part of the
elements to be included in the paper is the importance of cultural awareness among healthcare
providers, how such competence can be enhanced, and how patient-centered care that
considers healthcare providers can enhance patients’ cultural orientation. Most importantly, I
will discuss the approaches by which different providers can cultivate an organizational
culture that values the cultural dynamics of patients.
