Select TWO people that you know, who work in/for an organization in some sort of ownership/leadership/management/supervisory/team leader capacity:, ONE who (based on Douglas McGregor’s Theory X and Theory Y) you would classify as an “X MANAGER” and ONE who you would classify as a “Y MANAGER.” Note: they don’tboth need to both be part of thesame organization, but they certainly could be. As before, these do NOT need to beemployment situations, but they may be. They could also have been part of a social organization, service organization, religious/spiritual organization, recreational organization, etc., that you were also a member of. Carefully analyze both of their “leadership styles,” providing very specific examples of their behavior, and explainingwhy you would classify them as an X or Y Manager. Also, describe their effectiveness. In which situations do you think the “X MANAGER” is actually most effective? In which situations is the “Y MANAGER” most effective?
