Informational InterviewAssignment: For this project, you will conduct an informational interview with a person working in a
position, occupation, graduate school or career field of interest to you. The individual you select should
not be a relative or close friend. Interviews may be conducted by phone, but in-person interviews are
preferred. An exchange of emails does not constitute an informational interview. Prepare at least 8
questions to ask in the interview, and send a thank you note after the interview.
In order to receive full credit, you must complete each of the questions below. Answers must be written
in complete sentences (no bullet points).
1) Briefly discuss the career or occupation that you have chosen to investigate. Why is this of
interest to you?
