Topic Introduction: The increased rate of HIV/AIDS spread in developing countries
Thesis: The spread of HIV/AIDS has continues to increase significantly in the developing world
due to nature of their economy.
Preview: I will start by outlining the spread of HIV/AIDS in the developing countries. In
addition, I will outline the cause of the problem. Lastly, I will outline some of the solutions that
can help in reduce the rate of HIV/AIDS infection.
Problem: The spread of HIV/AIDS has increased significantly in the developing world hence
reducing the productivity. The countries continue to lose the youths who are energetic and the
skilled manpower leading to poor economy. The growth of any economy depends entirely on the
contribution of the youths.
TRANSITION 1: Now that you understand the problem caused by high spread of HIV in
developing world, let me highlight the causes of the spread.
Cause: The increased rate of HIV/AIDS spread is caused by high poverty level, lack of
education on the transmission, lack of adequate social amenities, poor hygiene, and lack of
required medication in hospitals.
TRANSITION: After covering the cause of increased HIV/AIDS spread, let me outline ways of
combating this menace.
Solutions: There is need to devise ways of reducing the rate of HIV/AIDS spread in developing
countries. The solutions include: creating awareness about transmission, creating employment
opportunities, donor funding to stabilize the health system, increasing hygienic standards, the

government should strengthen social amenities and decreasing poverty through improvement of
the economy.

Summary: I started talking about increased rate of HIV/AIDS spread. Next, I outlined the
possible cause of the high rate of spread in developing world. To conclude, I highlighted
solutions to the spread of HIV/AIDS in developing countries.
